To begin the consultation, we ask patients to provide a small set of photographs. These images allow us to make an initial assessment before speaking in more detail.

Required Photo Angles

We typically request:

• A direct frontal view
• A side profile view
• An underside view showing the nostrils, with the head slightly tilted downward

These angles help us understand nasal structure, symmetry and proportions.

How to Take the Photos Correctly

For the most accurate assessment:

• Use a standard camera, not a selfie camera
• Stand approximately 1.5 to 2 metres away from the camera
• Ensure the face is fully visible and relaxed
• Avoid filters, editing or beauty modes

Lighting Matters

Photos should be taken in a well illuminated environment.
This means:

• Even lighting across the entire face
• No strong shadows on one side
• No bright light washing out details

Uneven lighting can distort the appearance of the nose and affect accuracy.

Optional Video Submission

You are also welcome to send a short, well lit video.
Video can be extremely helpful, as it shows the nose in motion and provides additional context beyond static images.

We usually ask patients to select three examples of noses they find appealing.

This is not about copying someone else’s result.
It helps us understand:

• Your aesthetic taste
• The level of refinement you prefer
• Whether those styles are suitable for your facial structure

During the consultation, we will explain what is achievable and what may not be appropriate for you individually.

Your health and safety always come first.

As part of the consultation, we ask about:

• Previous surgeries, including nasal or facial procedures
• Any chronic illnesses or medical conditions
• Regular medications you may be taking

If you have had nasal surgery before, it is important to specify:

• How many times
• When the procedures took place
• Any complications or concerns

These details are essential for planning and risk assessment.

Once we have reviewed your photos, preferences and medical background, we discuss:

• The surgical approach
• Expected outcomes
• Limitations and realistic expectations
• Recovery considerations

At this stage, patients are encouraged to ask questions openly. Clear communication is fundamental to a successful outcome.

In most cases, we recommend a video consultation.

This allows:

• More personal interaction
• Clear explanation of concerns
• Better understanding on both sides

Many patients find video consultations reassuring, as they help establish trust and clarity before travelling.

The consultation process concludes with a face to face consultation once you arrive in Istanbul.

This in person meeting allows:

• A physical examination
• Final confirmation of the surgical plan
• Addressing any last questions before treatment

This step ensures that everything discussed previously aligns with real time clinical assessment.
